Hanes seemed to usually be slightly less expensive, and also of satisfactory quality. It lasted many washings, fit reasonably well.
But over the past decade or so they seem to have lowered their quality. Not just quality control, but their target quality.
Or at the very least Hanes has become sporadic. And I disagree with their style changes. Or maybe these are fake Hanes.

They discontinued the specific boxer briefs I loved. Others I tried, to replace them, seemed cheaper and more flimsy. Or seem Or seemed to have weird double fruit of the loom t shirts for boys layered bottom hem.
I cannot imagine why anybody would want an extra strip of cloth there that serves no helpful purpose I can imagine.

This is not about Hanes and Fruit of the loom only, different brand names may source their materials from the same supplier but their quality parameters are different.

One brand may be good for your pocket and another for the comfort and functionality. I find them about equal. They both are fine but if you want to try really superior underwear try Lacoste.
The fabric and support will astound you.
